I turned to Weightmatters for psychological therapy with the hope of "rewiring" my thinking, especially around how I used food to cope with emotional pain. At the time, I was uncertain and even skeptical about whether real change was possible. But looking back now, I hardly recognize the version of myself who first walked through those doors. The journey has been transformative, and I'm deeply grateful for the support and guidance I received.

Dr Kenneth Lee, at the London Psychiatry Clinic, has been brilliant throughout the journey of diagnosing and medicating my son, who has ADHD. Dr Lee has been professional, kind, caring and overall brilliant with my 11 year old.

My daughter arrived at Ibiza Calm in late October 2024 with a ketamin addiction and long-standing issues from an early teenage eating disorder. She willingly volunteered to enter rehab as the ketamin usage was on the point of creating some serious long-term medical problems. Ibiza Calm was recommended to us by a friend and from the very first point of contact they understood my daughter’s challenges and her needs, and the vital emphasis that she was being helped not punished. Obviously, the early weeks were a struggle and there were tearful FaceTimes with her but the staff were always on hand with advice and reassuarance for us as parents. We visited Ibiza Calm after four weeks, as our daughter had elected to stay for a further 14 days because in her words she ‘wasn’t ready to come home’ - an incredible endorsement of just how safe, settled and supported she felt there. The location is beautiful and yes there is a sense of calm, reflected in the fact that everyone seems to operate as one large family - patients, staff, cooks. cleaners, cats and dogs. My daughter was eating well, exercising (!!) and had a serenity that I hadn’t seen in her for a very long time, she even had a tidy bedroom. By the end of six weeks she was ready to come home and left Ibiza Calm with enough discipline, understanding and hope to be able to tackle the next stage of her recovery. And while it hasn’t been easy, I feel that the foundations and belief she has been given have significantly increased her chances of sobriety. Also, a quick shout-out to the Ibiza Calm Support Group for parents and partners which meets over Zoom on Tuesday evenings. This has been a wonderful place for me to listen, share, vent, empathise and ask for advice - an invaluable refuge when you’re trying to help someone reboot their life. It goes without saying that I would heartily recommend the wonderful staff and carers at Ibiza Calm, I feel as if they’ve given not just my daughter but the whole family another chance…

Supremely grateful to have had the privilege of working with Thomas. His focus on results, all while giving me the space to learn and fail as I went on this journey, was transformational. I feel like I have been reeducated and I now have the tools to do what is right by my body and mind.

The place is amazing along with the staff who are very caring of all the clients and are willing to go above and beyond to help everyone out.

I was late due to being at the wrong hospital but the staff called and gave me guidance and rebooked me in the same day and were all extremely helpful and friendly
