The Inwardbound Institute provide legal psychedelic retreat programmes with a 5 day retreat in the Netherlands as the focal point. Inwardbound's methodology is based on the work of Dr Stan Grof. We provide a safe container for people to maximise their experience with psilocybin in order to access your own inner healer.
The Inwardbound Institute is dedicated to reconnecting individuals with themselves, each other, and nature through facilitated healing, trauma release, and exploration of non-ordinary states of consciousness. They believe in promoting inner transformation, personal growth, and creativity while providing a safe and legal container for self-exploration.
Their mission includes raising consciousness, creating community, and contributing to the discussion on the safe use of psychedelics through wellness retreats. They aim to be world leaders in the field of psychedelic therapy and to contribute to the evolution of global consciousness.
In particular, the institute focuses on pioneering Irish and Celtic Psilocybin Retreats, guided by the belief that psychedelic-assisted therapy has the potential to positively impact the world. They view psychedelics as sacred medicines of the earth and emphasise the importance of responsible use and education. Additionally, they prioritise accessibility to psychedelic healing, offering scholarships to individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The interdisciplinary team at the Inwardbound Institute consists of psychotherapists, PhD scientists, and holistic therapists who integrate science and spirituality in their approach, drawing inspiration from traditions such as the work of Dr. Stan Grof. They honour the long tradition of psilocybin use in Ireland and aim to create a modern context for psilocybin ceremony and nature reconnection.
Since their establishment in 2018, the Inwardbound Institute has welcomed hundreds of participants to their retreats, solidifying their position as pioneers in the field of psilocybin retreats worldwide.

My Inward Bound experience was, at times, surprising and even challenging but always illuminating and meaningful. The team of our four facilitators led this amazing process with deep knowledge, experience, creativity, and empathy. In this supportive atmosphere, I connected with myself and the other members of the group in the best possible ways. Beyond that, the comfortable accommodations, beautiful setting, and delicious, wholesome food made the perfect setting for a journey of self-discovery.

I participated in a 5-day psilocybin retreat in the Netherlands. I had a profound experience under the influence of the mushrooms, but equally important was the presence, advice, support and all the activities offered by the therapists/facilitators. They are amazing people, experienced and professional, passionate about what they do and dedicated to ensuring the best, safest and most inspiring setting. Thanks to them, I believe, I can process and integrate the psilocybin experience in a way most beneficial for my healing and growth. They helped me understand how important it is to work with the body, to take a more holistic approach to healing and lifestyle, and they showed me ways to do it. I am immensely grateful not only for the safety they provided, but also for the joy, music, movement and companionship. I can recommend Inwardbound to anyone wanting to experience psilocybin.

I came to the retreat with quite high expectations. Being a psychologist, with adversed childhood experiences myself, and being both at the helper and receiving part of therapy, I was searching for a way to heal and reconcile from past relational trauma. This retreat extended my expectations in every single way. The location was breathtaking, the house incredibly beautyful and the vegan food both felt and tasted magnificant. But the best part of the whole experience was the the three organizers. They created such a safe environment for the group, supporting us with their humanistic approach, free from judgement, and enforced theoretical frameworks. I came in the search for healing, and can now say for sure that I am not only healed, but also transformed. I feel connected to the world outside, more grounded than ever and with a renewed love for mother Earth. This has been a pure and raw awakening experience that I didn’t even knew that I was longing for. I will forever be grateful for making this journey possible.
