Formerly Newlands Dental, we joined the Dentalessence family in April 2019.
Originally founded in 1977 the practice has been serving Haywards Heath and the wider West Sussex community for more than 40 years and we pride ourselves in providing only the best dental care for our patients.
We cater for all dental needs, from a simple check-up to full cosmetic dentistry.

A good service overall, but having been sent several reminders to turn up for my appointment at 2.15, I then had to wait until 2.40.
Many apologies for the reminders, they are generically sent to help us reduce failed appointments. Sorry you were delayed being seen, as we do try to keep to time, unfortunately, we cannot foresee any problems that may occur with each individual patient throughout the daily diary. Bw's

I was disappointed that it was not possible to clean 4 bottom teeth during my appointment. This has been done for my entire adult life but is now apparently not possible to include in the appointment time. This makes it more difficult for me to maintain healthy teeth and should easily be included in the appointment time.
Dear Clare, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so sorry that you felt the need to rate our service as poor. It seems the issue is that you did not receive a quick scale and polish during your exam appointment. From your record we can see that the dentist did not feel there was enough time to complete this during your examination but did, instead, offer to book you another appointment for a full NHS clean, at no extra cost to yourself. This offer is still available to you, if you wish to accept. If you would like to further discuss this, or any other aspect of our service, please do not hesitate to contact the Practice Manager on 01444 452112.

I recently called Dentalessence following tooth pain, and wanted help before it got any worse. (having been on the NHS waiting list for over 2 years) I called and was told to come in the following morning. I was seen and x rayed, and asked to go back that afternoon for an extraction. I was very nervous and anxious, but was made to feel comfortable.

Katie was friendly and made one relax straight away. Nice background classic al music. Very thorough cleaning of my teeth and gave good tips to improve my cleaning of them.
