I had my gastric bypass surgery done privately with Mr. Aruna, and I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health. From the very first consultation, Mr. Aruna took the time to explain the different types of surgery available and helped me understand what would be best for my situation. I ultimately chose the bypass, mainly due to long-standing issues with reflux and a persistent sweet tooth. The surgery itself went smoothly, and Mr. Aruna personally came to see me afterward to explain how everything went. Although I was scheduled to go home the next day, I still wasn’t feeling quite myself. Mr. Aruna suggested I stay an extra night—and he was absolutely right. That additional day made all the difference in my recovery, and I felt significantly better by the next morning. The entire team that looked after me was fantastic—professional, kind, and attentive. I’ve heard many people say that Mr. Aruna is not only incredibly skilled but also genuinely compassionate, and I can now say I completely agree. He truly listens, cares, and supports you throughout the journey. I’m now six weeks post-op and have already lost two stone. My only regret is not having had the surgery years earlier. I’m beyond grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr. Aruna and his amazing team to anyone considering this life-changing step.

My surgeon Aruna Munasinghe was fantastic. I was considered to have a relatively low bmi and was worried that my weight and health concerns wouldn’t be considered serious enough to allow me to be accepted for surgery but after two consultations it was agreed that it could go ahead. On speaking with Aruna he made me feel so at ease and allowed me to accept that just because I wasn’t as morbidly obese as some other people I should still feel justified in doing something to help myself without feeling guilty, which psychologically was a big thing for me. The surgery was performed and I recovered very quickly without any problems and Aruna instilled complete positivity in me that I have done the right thing. I am delighted with my weight loss so far and have progressed easily onto the different phases of eating . My one and only regret in all of this is that I didn’t do it 10/15 years earlier !!
