Mr Constantin Durnea is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in Urogynaecology with over two decades of clinical experience. Mr Durnea qualified in medicine at the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy 'Nicolae Testemitanu', Moldova in 1994. He later completed a specialist degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the same university in 1997. Following this, Mr Durnea moved to the UK & Ireland and completed a PhD at University College Cork, Ireland in 2015.

He currently practices privately at the Cobham Clinic and Spire Harpenden Hospital.

In his current clinical practice, Mr Durnea provides services for both general and urogynaecological conditions. This includes treating conditions such as heavy and irregular periods, polycystic ovary syndrome, chronic pelvic pain, vulvo-vaginal pain, recurrent urinary infections, urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. He is skilled in a number of surgical procedures, including Bartholin's Cyst removal, laparoscopy, sterilisation, hysteroscopy, uterine ablation, myomectomy and hysterectomy. He also provides specialised urogynaecological treatments including stress incontinence surgery and bladder Botox injections.

Mr Durnea is actively involved in research and has published many articles in specialty journals. He is also a Committee Member of the International Urogynaecology Association where he takes part in developing new guidelines and classifications. He also enjoys training and supervising junior doctors in his area of expertise.

Mr Durnea strives to be at the forefront of modern science and does this by keeping up to date with the most recent advances in obstetrics and gynaecology. At the core of his clinical practice is his belief in clear communication between doctors and patients and shared decision making as the key to optimum patient health.
