Dr Jennifer Jones is a Consultant Dermatologist at the Royal Free Hospital, where she is also training programme director, an educational supervisor to trainees and a consultant appraiser. Her private practice is at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth, St Johns Wood and at OneWelbeck in central London where she consults and manages patients presenting with a wide variety of skin complaints. She also advises on appropriate treatments for cosmetic complaints. She consulted for a multinational skincare company for 12 years and is a spokesperson for the British Skin Foundation.
Dr Jones has a specialist interest in skin cancer, mole checks and eczema, as well as general dermatology including acne. Her other clinical interests include alopecia (hair loss) and in 2013 she set up a monthly specialist clinic at the Royal Free Hospital.
Dr Jones studied medicine at The Royal Free Hospital in London, training as a Dermatologist in London at St Mary's, Chelsea and Westminster and University College Hospitals. She also trained in the dermatology departments of the University of Miami, Auckland and Barcelona and completed her training in 2006.
Dr Jones has published and lectured internationally in the field of Dermatology, editing the hair and scalp chapter of the 4th edition of "Differential diagnoses in Dermatology". She was treasurer for the British Hair and Nail Society (BHNS) for 10 years is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, British Hair and Nail society, British Society for immunocompromised skin and the American Academy of Dermatologists.
Dr Jones also lived and worked in South America for four years and is a fluent Spanish speaker. She enjoys travelling, swimming, skiing, pilates and socialising with friends and family.
