Dr Kalkani and her team were exceptional. My daughter who suffers extreme anxiety in any medical setting needed two teeth to be extracted under local anaesthetic. The whole team were so incredibly kind to her, and patient and managed to get her to a point where she felt confident enough to agree to go ahead with the procedure- which was no mean feat! This was done incredibly well, with very little pain or discomfort or swelling after. My daughter felt in control, was listened to, and came away having had a very positive experience. We are very grateful!

Dr Maria is exceptional and outstanding at working with children. My two year old absolutely loves her and the consultations are so fun- filled. My son, before coming to Dr Maria, was petrified of the dentist and now he enjoys coming. Dr Kalkani has done an incredible job in helping and supporting my daughter for the last 6 years, since she had an accident whilst we were on holiday and knocked a large section of one of her adult front teeth out. My daughter was traumatised, both by the accident and the subsequent dental care we received both on holiday and in the UK (she had been told, aged 8, by our dentist that she would lose her front tooth and would have to live with a gap until she was an adult). Dr Kalkani immediately restored calm, made us believe that everything was going to be OK and re-constructed Milla’s tooth so that, even I, as her mother, no longer noticed the fracture. She was unbelievably patient with a very scared and nervous child, explained everything to her, promised her that she would never do something she hadn’t explained or agreed with her in advance and took the time that was needed to build her trust. Over the last 6 years, she has continued to demonstrate that patience, professionalism, empathy and expertise. She is kind and fun, takes great interest in her patients’ lives, makes them feel welcome and my daughter always leaves with a big smile on her face. Her ability to distract her patient with her kindness and empathy, whilst carrying out highly technical dentistry requiring great concentration, is incredible.

Dr. Kalkani quickly diagnosed and addressed with laser frenectomy my son's posterior tongue tie. She took plenty of time to explain to us what the procedure entailed, the pros and cons of the surgery, and post-op care. All of this while keeping our son happy and entertained. Quite a feat! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Kalkani to anybody needing help to deal with treat tongue tie problems!

Dr Kalkani is the best dentist for children in London! She is knowledgeable, kind and very experienced. She always spends time explaining all the options to parents prior to moving on with treatment.
