My Ulcerative colitis management was very good. I have been having flares of colitis needing steroids and also on humira. I was in constant pain, bloated and felt very unwell. Dr Mahesh took all the information, did some tests and showed that I have issues with movements of my bowel on the right side, basically constipation with colitis. The treatment has worked wonders and I feel so much better, not needed any steroids for many months. Very good diagnosing skills, others were only giving steroids!. Happy to recommend himm

One seldom encounters a medical professional who combines such erudition with genuine empathy, but Dr. Mahesh is precisely that rarity. Having consulted gastroenterologists across several continents (owing to my official postings), I can assert that his diagnostic acumen is unparalleled. He took the time to elucidate my condition without resorting to undue jargon, yet with the precision one would expect of a foremost specialist. His clinic exudes efficiency—no interminable waits, yet never a sense of being hurried. The investigations were arranged seamlessly, and his secretary proved most accommodating in expediting results. What truly distinguishes him, however, is his willingness to engage in dialogue rather than dictate treatment. A refreshing departure from the transactional nature of many private consultations. Should you require a gastroenterologist of the highest caliber, look no further.

Dr. Mahesh – thank you. I’d been struggling with pain on my right side for ages, and my liver blood tests kept coming back a bit off, but no one could figure out why. I’d had scans (ultrasound, CT, MRI), and they all came back normal, which just made it more frustrating. Then I saw Dr. Mahesh at Beaumont Hospital in Bolton, and honestly, it was such a relief. Right from the start, he actually listened—no rushing, no brushing me off. He took his time, asked the right questions, and really examined me properly. He suggested a special camera test (EUS) to get a closer look, which none of my other doctors had mentioned. I had to wait a while to get it done on the NHS, but when it finally happened, Dr. Mahesh found tiny stones stuck in my bile duct—something all the other scans had missed! He then did another procedure (ERCP) to remove them, and it went perfectly—no problems at all. Now, weeks later, the pain is gone, and I feel so much better. I can’t thank him enough for finally getting to the bottom of it when no one else could. If you’re having tummy or liver troubles and feel like you’re going in circles, see Dr. Mahesh—he’s brilliant! So grateful for his care—thank you!

I had a consultation with Mr Mahesh at Beaumont hospital in Bolton. I must say, it was a great experience, he was patient, listened attentively and reviewed all my previous tests. Thanks to NHS app, there is lots of information at the finger tips. He suggested a few tests to complete my liver work up. I also managed to get a fibroscan. I feel much better, was very worried after my liver tests was abnormal and thoughts about cancer. I am impressed with Mr Mahesh as he didn't get me worried, suggested only a few tests and gave a good answer. I know these days every test is so expensive.

I will to write about my experience with colonoscopy, which was my third attempt. I had two previous procedures, which were incomplete due to what they called 'loopy' bowel. I never understood and frustrated with this. Then, I met Dr Mahesh and explained my issues and was keen to get a proper colonoscopy. I was first on his list, I was very glad indeed. He successfully managed to complete the procdedure and took out the polyp. I was very impressed and glad that the ordeal indeed was worthwhile. The nursing team were very good and supportive through out. Well done Beaumont Hospital.
Thank you for the kind review. I am glad this time procedure was successful and thanks for the positive comments, the team indeed were very happy.

I was very worried about the pain on the right side of my belly. This started around Xmas and didn't seem to go away. Initially my doctor thought this was gallbladder and ultrasound was done, but nothing on it. I got a CT scan done privately, this was also normal. My doctor tried omeprazole and then few other zole's with no change. I then consulted Dr Mahes, through a friend. He thought, we might not be focussing on the most obvious reason, did a camera test-endoscopy. It was indeed not bad experience in spite of what people had warned me- he was brilliant. He found so many ulcers in my stomach!!. I am on treatment and trying very hard to quit smoking. I feel so much better. Thanks to everyone who has helped, including my GP doctors.
Thank you for the kind review. I hope the changes you have made will help in the long term.

I was worried when my liver tests showed high levels of enzymes. My doctor referred to the hospital, but a very long wait. I had a stomach ultrascan and this showed fatty liver. My GP said I need to lose weight, but, I am not fat!, he said specialist help is needed. He kindly sent me to this doctor, who, I am so impressed with. He saw all my results on the NHS app, explained something called MASLD- although I am not fat, I got high BP, diabetes, cholesterol all over place. He showed me a graph and explained what tests needed, how to slowly improve liver health. I am less worried now, also confident that the new plan will help me. Thanks Dr V Mahesh
Thank you for the kind review. MASLD was known as fatty liver disease in the past. I hope the lifestule changes you have made will help resolve the liver issues

I had my third colonoscopy from Dr Mahesh. I was apprehensive, my previous two was done two different doctors, it was very uncomfortable and both of them did not take out the polyp near my appendix. However, after searching online and speaking to few people at the hospital, I chose him and how lucky was I !!. Procedure was relatively comfortable, he removed the polyp and put a metal clip to seal the area. I didn't feel any of it!. I am looking forward surprisingly to my follow up :)
Thank you for the kind review. We were lucky to complete the colonoscopy and remove the polyp. All the very best to you

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Venkataswamy. After returning from a holiday, I developed persistent diarrhea and stomach pain that lasted for months. Despite treatment for H. pylori from my GP, I saw no improvement. When I met Dr. Venkataswamy, he suggested that my symptoms might be due to post-infectious IBS and recommended stool tests. Although I initially sought a second opinion, which included a normal CT scan and colonoscopy, I returned to Dr. Venkataswamy because he took the time to listen to my concerns. He explained the concept of post-infectious IBS, including how the gut-brain axis works and why recovery can take time. His approach was thorough and compassionate, providing me with a clear plan that included dietary advice and medications. Dr. Venkatswamy is truly dedicated to his patients, and I highly recommend him to anyone dealing with similar gastrointestinal issues!
Thank you for the kind review. I am confident, you will continue to improve and back to your full health in the near future.

I recently visited Dr. Mahesh for ongoing abdominal pain, bloating, and occasional constipation. Despite having several tests done previously, everything came back normal, which left me feeling frustrated and unsure about what was causing my symptoms. From the moment I walked into Dr. Mahesh’s clinic, I felt heard and understood. Dr. Mahesh took the time to thoroughly explain my condition in a way that was easy to follow. He talked about how the muscles in my abdomen and diaphragm might not be working together properly, which could be contributing to my discomfort. He also explained the connection between the gut and the brain, and how stress or miscommunication between the two could be playing a role in my symptoms. I was particularly concerned about SIBO, as I had read about it online and felt it might explain my issues. Dr. Mahesh patiently explained how SIBO tests work and why they aren’t always straightforward or reliable. Instead of jumping into more tests right away, he gave me a clear, practical plan to manage my symptoms while keeping the door open for further investigations if needed. What stood out most was his ability to make me feel at ease. He didn’t dismiss my concerns or make me feel like I was overreacting. Instead, he provided reassurance and a sensible approach to tackling my symptoms. By the end of the consultation, I felt confident in his expertise and optimistic about the steps we were taking. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Mahesh to anyone dealing with tricky or unexplained digestive issues. He’s knowledgeable, kind, and takes the time to...
