Dr Kaumudi Dhutia is an experienced dental surgeon who graduated from Newcastle University in 1983. She has a particular interest in minimally invasive restorative cosmetic dentistry, in endodontics (tooth root dentistry) and in facial aesthetics. She has run her own mixed NHS and private practice for the past thirty one years. At present she is the practice owner and principle dentist at Starlite Dental Practice. She was among the first dentists in the UK to take up ongoing training in what is now referred to as continued professional development, and has been expanding her skills base ever since that time. She has an interest in the treatment of nervous dental patients with painless and minimally invasive dentistry.
Dr Dhutia believes that affordable dentistry should be available to everyone. Because of her emphasis on the prevention of oral health problems, many of her patients at the Starlite Dental Care clinic are able to keep their natural teeth throughout life. She believes that keeping your own teeth for life is simple; it is due to good oral hygiene and regular dental check ups with a dentist able to see emerging issues before they have had a chance to cause permanent damage. After 30 years as a principal dentist, she has seen many of her patients grow from children to adults and now looks after the children and even grandchildren of those patients
