About Mr Christopher Duff
Mr Christopher Duff is a consultant plastic surgeon based at BMI The Alexandra Hospital, and Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester. He has extensive experience in the management of skin lesions and skin cancer. He performs a wide range of cosmetic, reconstructive, and aesthetic procedures including male breast surgery, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), body contouring following weight loss, eyelid correction (blepharoplasty) and reconstruction after skin tumour removal such as skin grafts and skin flaps. Mr Duff also has considerable expertise in hand surgery including Dupuytren's contracture, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, tendon transfer, and reconstruction and repair of damaged tendons, nerves, and bones.
Mr Duff gained his medical qualification at Oxford University in 1993 before undertaking his general surgical training. He then spent some time carrying out research at the Bristol Laser Centre before beginning his specialist plastic surgery training in 2000. Mr Duff later completed specialist hand surgery training with the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Selly Oak Hospital, and the Children's Hospital in Birmingham. In 2007, he was appointed as a consultant in Manchester.
Mr Duff has a passion for education and serves as a member of the SAC (Specilaist Advisory Committee) for Plastic Surgery as well as a tutor at The University of Manchester and the BSSH Hand Diploma. He also plays a key role in skin cancer treatment and currently sits on a number of multidisciplinary skin cancer teams in Manchester.

The whole experience was very good. Chris Duff was very professional but approachable and willing to explain any questions I had. I would thoroughly recommend him and The Alexandra Hospital. The surgery was efficient, caring and the very minor scarring is disappearing fast.

Process from beginning was very professional. Took me through the process. Surprised by amount of swelling on forehead, around eye lids, tear ducts around day 3. Went to A&E as precaution. Nurse confirmed no infection.

The whole experience with Mr Duff, Mica (Practice Manager) and the staff at the Alexandra was professional, personable, reassuring and timely. I felt very comfortable, despite the circumstances being very worrying for me. The pre assessment was thorough, the experience in the minor surgery unit was almost a pleasure due to the nursing and operating department staff and my post op care again, prompt and professional. The fact that I had a positive outcome was the cherry on top. Thank you for your care and attention
