I recently had very successful cataract surgery on both eyes under Dr Philip Alexander and his team at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital. After a thorough examination and discussion Dr Alexander recommended a standard lens for my right eye and a blended micro mono vision lens for the left eye, to suit my lifestyle. At my post operative eye test at The Spire , I had blended mono vision with both eyes open and can see 6/4 unaided , and N5 reading. This is a fantastic result and life changer for me, my sight is completely restored and I am glasses free.

The initial examination was thorough and I felt well informed through the process. My meeting with Dr. Alexander was clear, professional and the explanation of my condition and the causes were excellent. I felt the advice provided was well considered and the feedback I had provided had been taken into consideration when making recommendations.

Following a very thorough examination of both of my eyes and in particular the left eye, the situation and condition of my left eye was very clearly explained to me by Dr Phillip Alexander. He explained quite clearly the surgical procedure required to restore sight to my left eye and the risks involved. Dr Alexander informed me that my right eye looked healthy and stable. I felt reassured after the consultation and looked forward to having the operation carried out and the problem resolved.

Dr Alexander has done excellent cataract surgery on both of my eyes, my vision has now been greatly improved! Starting from initial consultation, I can feel that he has been very carefully to design my cataract surgery including choosing lens and thoughtful arrangement due to my other conditions during the surgery.

I had a very positive appointment with Mr Alexander. He is highly professional and very caring. He took the time to answer my questions fully. He doesn’t know why I am getting the dysphotopsia following my successful cataract surgery and I appreciated his honesty. We carefully went through my options and made a decision to go ahead with YAG capsulotomy to see if this helps my symptoms. I am glad he will perform the procedure and I feel that I will be in very capable hands.
