About Mr Sachchidananda Maiti

Dr Sachchidananda Maiti is an NHS senior consultant Gynaecologist & Obstetrician based in Manchester, UK. He graduated from the University of Calcutta, India in 1992, and has decades of clinical experience in his field both in the UK and abroad. He is now an Honorary Senior Lecturer ( Research and Teaching) at Manchester University Medical School. He has lectured and been involved in clinical teaching at a number of hospitals and universities in the UK and abroad. He is a peer reviewer of several national and international journals. He is an accredited appraiser for GMC registered doctors in the UK.

He specialises in the management and treatment of a wide variety of gynaecological conditions. He uses ultrasound scan investigation relating to period problems, infertility, pregnancy and miscarriage. As a Principal Investigator of several national and international research projects, he has a keen interest in the newly evidenced approved research-based treatment on obstetrics and gynaecological conditions. He can help explore difficulties in getting pregnant, problems during early pregnancy, and clarifying any concerns on screening tests or any gynaecological health condition. His basic principle in clinical practice is simple, clear empowering personal care.
