About Mr Simon Mackey
Mr Simon Mackey is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon based in the South East of England. He sees private patients at the McIndoe Centre, KIMS Hospital Maidstone, & Benenden Hospital in Kent.
Mr Mackey is an Intercollegiate Fellow in Plastic Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons and is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is a full member of both the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. Mr Mackey is also an International Affiliate Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Mr Mackey completed his medical degree at the Imperial College School of Medicine at St Mary's Hospital in London. After qualifying, he completed his basic surgical training in the Oxford Deanery. He later completed his specialist higher surgical training in Plastic Surgery. He also completed a training fellowship in Cancer Reconstruction & Microsurgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London as well as a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at the McIndoe Surgical Centre.
He has expertise in general plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, oncoplastic surgery, breast reconstruction, cancer reconstruction, microsurgery and skin cancer.

He went over my procedure risks until he knew 100% that I understood them as well as explained carefully what the procedure was about and what the outcome would be. He was extremely friendly too which helped the service.

Going to Mr Mackey, I was under the impression my breasts were naturally small and just never grew, however he within minutes of examination told me I had something called ‘tuberous breasts’. A medical condition that is quite common however not due to most people like me thinking they are just naturally smaller/flatter. I’d been unhappy since as far back as I can remember, so finding this information out and booking in my operation day was a big step but also the best decision I’ve made and I couldn’t of done it with a better surgeon. Simon was extremely informative, reassuring & caring in every aspect and every step of the way. Most importantly, very honest when choosing the best option for me and my body as everyone is different. I trusted him, his knowledge and everything he recommended. Currently, 3 months post op, and I could not be happier, my results are perfect. I am forever grateful for Simon & his team.
