Professor Vasdev is the consummate professional. He and his team are highly skilled and right at the cutting edge of technology when it comes to RALF. I was very impressed from the start as to their speed, efficiency and work ethic. It is a credit to their work that I was back up on my feet in a day, working from home in three days and back in the office in ten days. Since the operation Professor Vasdev has kept in touch and offered reassurance when needed and advice if required.

Explained everything clearly...even with diagrams 😄.

We feel very privileged to have had Professor Vasdev as our consultant. He has been quite amazing from start to finish. We could not have asked for more.

Professor Vasdev explained the best options for my procedure, explained what would happen and what the recovery period would be like. He also explained what possible downsides there could be and that he would plan what he was going to do to minimise any risks. On the day of the operation he came to see me in my room to answer any questions my wife and I might have. He performed the operation and came to see me once I came round from the anaesthetic to check everything was ok. I recovered from the operation very quickly and non of the possible negatives have occurred hence I am very please with the outcome!

Professor Vasdev kept us informed throughout the whole process from initial consultation to final consultation. Surgery was completed successfully, with multiple visits whilst in hospital and facetiming once home to answer queries and concerns. Totally respectful and courteous at all times.

I found Professor Vasdev to be from the very first meeting, both professional and friendly. He asked about my symptoms, my hopes for treatment and my hopes for my future quality of life. Any subsequent appointments were brief but covered everything necessary. At the time of the operation he was friendly and professional once again and assured me he would do his best to achieve the best possible outcome. Post op there was a very minor complication which Professor Vasdev dealt with himself and continued to assure me, correctly that all will be well. My final telephone appointment was on 24th December and once again the Professor was concerned for my well being, checking on any post op complications and once it was established I was fine, we had short but friendly chat, wishing each other well and a Happy Christmas.
Thank you for your very kind feedback. In certain patients the bladder is weak due a long standing history of having a prostate obstructing the water pipe. This can result in being unable to void when the catheter is initially removed and then return a few later to have a successful removal. You mention complication but the bladder not working initially can happen but I am pleased that you had your catheter a few days are voiding extremely well. Good luck with your recovery and I am delighted that you are doing well.
