A specialist eating disorder clinical psychologist is exactly what my daughter needed to help her, and I just wish that we had known about Treating Disorders 18 months ago. So glad that we came across them recently, as the treatment my daughter has received has been life changing for her.

I owe my life and happiness to getting the help I needed and finally being able to recover. I felt truly hopeless and getting therapy was my final try to recover from my eating disorder. And it worked! It wasn’t easy, not going to lie. It was a rollercoaster but so worth it. Throughout therapy I was always reminded of the bigger picture while making small steps, one day at a time. Went through highs and lows and in the end got my life back. The honesty in therapy was wat stood out most. I was faced with the fact it was never about the food. Not focussing on food but the feelings that were covered helped me process all that stood in the way if living my life. It’s so easy to do nothing, but it’s much more powerful to act and fight for your right to live. I worked hard for years. Found peace and the love of my life (literally being in treatment) who I can call my husband. The greatest thing I ever learned is to love and be loved in return.

I came to CATCH after struggling with addiction problems for many years. The 28 day rehab programme was truly life-changing. The compassionate therapists and supportive community provided the caring environment I needed to face my addiction head-on and develop healthier coping skills. I'm more than six months clean and sober now and things are getting better all the time.

The Wellbeing and Recovery Collective provide me with a safe space to openly explore issues blocking my recovery in a group setting. James is very knowledgeable about eating disorders and has helped me understand my condition, the triggers as well as supporting me to work on strategies to stay on track with my recovery. He is a calming and encouraging presence in group. I am extremely grateful for the support I have received. My recovery has improved hugely under his guidance.

The schedule for the sessions was very well organised and managed. The nurse conducting the sessions was so friendly and put me at ease straight away so it was never a chore. The whole experience was very professional yet personable. After completing the course of rTMS I felt more mentally energised with increased motivation. I highly recommend the whole experience!
