The quality of the medical care and advice was excellent, the staff friendly and the whole experience very positive. The only negative was that the ward perhaps didn’t have enough staff on the day I was there, as the post-operative care was a little disjointed and food didn’t turn up when it should, but those were really very minor issues. Overall, I was very happy with the care offered by the wonderful staff at Moorfields.

Consultation appointments are on time and efficiently managed. The only negative in the past has been the length of time that it has taken to issue the consultation letter, sometimes this has been up to a month after the appointment. Following my recent consultation on 10 August 2022, the consultation letter was sent the next day, so a huge improvement.

Nursing support staff friendly and helpful. Visit from surgeon and anesthetist before surgery was good, both gave me confidence and helped me relax. Had to wait a while, but that wasn't a problem. Possibly as much to give the eye drops time to work. Comfortable airconditioned room with ensuite toilet to wait in. Nice coffee and nice lunch. Eye is still recovering from surgery, only very mild discomfort, so far very pleased with result.
