I was extremely impressed with Mr Mitry and would definitely highly recommend him. He was very approachable, has a friendly manner and always gave clear explanations. I had both my eyes corrected simultaneously. There was no pain or discomfort during and after the procedure. My long and middle vision are excellent, whilst my near vision could be improved by +1 glasses.

Dear Mr Mitry, I know thank you is a little word but I just wanted you to know the magnitude in which I mean it - THANK YOU. I knew you were very special when we first met and since then through your never ending professionalism, kindnesses, calmness and understanding, I am writing to you today with enormous gratitude, clear vision and so much more confidence. As you knew, I was very frightened - having only had bad experiences from long ago - but throughout the last 2 months I have never known such kindnesses, empathy and understanding - filling me with confidence every step of the way. You and all your Team have been so kind and caring and just wonderful really. I cannot thank you enough and this comes from the bottom of my heart.

"Mr Mitry is a God!" said the man in the lift. I had just been discharged from The London Clinic and so had the man in the lift. We both had our right eyes bandaged from cataract surgery. It was also our second surgery with Mr Mitry. We compared notes and we both had nothing but the highest praise for Mr Mitry. He is the top eye surgeon, well respected and admired by peers and patients. His bedside manner is wonderful. His warmth, calm and caring disposition inspires confidence and tranquility during stressful times. I am so grateful to have met Mr Mitry and was able to trust him with my most precious sense. My vision is now better than 20/20 and my eyes are more balanced. Mr Mitry has given me the most precious gift and I feel a bigger sense of freedom. I am glasses free except for reading tiny print. I am humbled by his genius and in awe of his talent. I highly recommend him. What Mr Mitry has done for me and continues to do for thousands of patients is extraordinary. The biggest heartfelt thank you Mr Mitry!!! PD

It's been a few weeks now since I've had my cataract operations and I've just been to see my optician who has confirmed everything is as it should be. I've gone from a high myopia to being able to live my day-to-day life without glasses thanks to an extended depth of focus lense in one eye and a monofocal lense with a small myopia left in the other. I couldn't be more pleased with the result and I'm ever so grateful to Mr Mitry to have given me my sight back. The entire experience was very smooth from start to finish and I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Mitry and his team for the advice, care, professionalism and commitment they show to their patients. Thank you.

I had a cataract in one eye but had undergone LASIK 15–20 years prior. When I began searching for a surgeon, I was warned that my previous LASIK could make the outcome less predictable. Wanting the very best, I sought a recommendation from a leading surgeon, who told me that Mr. Mitry is the top eye surgeon—an accolade that speaks for itself. From my very first appointment, it was clear that Mr. Mitry is exceptional. He is not only highly professional but also incredibly warm, calm, and confident—qualities that immediately put me at ease. His passion for his field is evident in the way he explains every detail, ensuring I felt fully informed and reassured about my procedure. His recommendation was spot on, and I had complete trust in him as my surgeon. The procedure itself was remarkably quick and entirely painless. His team, both at the hospital and in his office, were outstanding—caring, attentive, and supportive. They even followed up the next day to check on my recovery, which was thoughtful. The result? No cataract, significantly improved vision, and the incredible freedom of seeing clearly without glasses. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome. Without hesitation, I have already recommended Mr. Mitry to my family.

My recent experience in having the cataract on my left eye removed was about as good as such things can be: it was brisk and efficient without being in the least depersonalised. It was easy to book an initial appointment and timely reminders were sent. Testing was done on the spot and results were available immediately. The consultation with Mr Mitry was a model: he explained clearly the choices for a replacement lens and offered reassurance about the overall health of my eyes. The follow-up paperwork was also clearly written and well set out: so much so that, when I rang for an insurance confirmation number, the BUPA representative expressed surprise at how well informed I was! The operation was impressively smooth: it kept to the timetable; the “sedation” meant that I was unconscious and it was a delight to awaken with only a transparent shield over my eye and able to see immediately. The only slight blip was the advice I’ve been given about when I’d be able to leave the hospital after the operation: I’ve been told to allow about an hour; in fact, it was nearer two when I was discharged. But there was the consolation of a good sandwich! I have a slow growing cataract on my right eye, which will eventually need removal. I shall unhesitatingly return to Mr. Mitry.
