Great experience and great Doctor! Please provide him with a slightly larger room because it was tricky for the staff nurse and Doctor to get past the bottom of the bed and I am only 5ft 11" tall
Thank you for your kind words about your experience. We’re glad to hear you had a positive visit! We appreciate your feedback about the room size and will look into ways to improve the layout for added comfort and convenience. Your input is invaluable in helping us enhance our care.

A nephrostomy is a procedure that creates an opening in the kidney and inserts a drainage tube to allow urine to flow out directly into a collection bag outside the body. This is done when there is a blockage in the urinary tract that prevents urine from draining normally from the kidney. Here's a breakdown of the procedure and its purpose: What it is: A minimally invasive procedure Involves inserting a thin, flexible tube (nephrostomy tube) through the skin into the kidney The tube drains urine from the kidney into a collection bag outside the body Why it's done: Relieve pressure on the kidney caused by a blockage Prevent kidney damage Treat an infection in the kidney Allow diagnostic tests to be performed on the kidney and urinary tract Provide temporary drainage while another medical condition is treated Conditions that may necessitate a nephrostomy: Kidney stones Blood clots Tumors Strictures (narrowing) of the ureter Enlarged prostate gland Potential risks and complications: Bleeding Infection Leakage around the tube Discomfort or pain Kidney damage (rare) What to expect after the procedure: You may stay in the hospital for a day or two for observation. You will be taught how to care for the nephrostomy tube at home. You will need to see your doctor regularly for follow-up appointments. Google Gemini accessed February 2024

In my line of work I perform many non-vascular interventional procedures such as drainages, biopsies, nephrostomies, stent insertions, percutaneous nephrolithotomies and suprapubic catheter insertions.
